((Welcome to the crackhouse, anyone who happens to be reading this who isn't me or Jess.))
The wind at this altitude was a lot stronger than she'd thought it would be. Milly stood atop one of the buildings of the Aviere skyline, dressed in a light t-shirt and shorts. She shivered in the wind, wishing she'd thought of grabbing a sweater before ascending to the roof of the apartments, and wishing even more desperately that she'd brought a brick or doorstopper to keep the door open. As it was, she was locked on the top of the building.
She'd snuck her way up here to deal with her suspicion of being watched from a figure on the rooftops. Milly had seen who she suspected was Hayden out of the corner of her eye several times when traversing the city streets. She thought she might try to catch him one evening, and this evening was as good as any other was. Maybe she could confront him to his strange, stalker-y tendencies and figure out what he was up to. He seemed to show up when she was in trouble; she only half hoped this was the case (for what other reason would he have for following her, if not looking out for her and Anna?)
Milly rubbed her arms, looking out toward the clear coastline, almost hidden beneath the dark night sky. There was always the fire escape that she could try, but she was a little nervous about scaling the side of the apartments on the rusty old stairs. She didn't have very many other options though, so she supposed that would be the inevitable next step.
