The lush grasses of the fields fade away where the wastelands begin encroach. On the dry side of the mountains, the seared land stretches out, desert like and desolate. Strangely, there is purported to be a rather prosperous little town somewhere out in this expanse of dead land.

On the northeastern cost of Torchay, you will be confronted with a series of mountains, the tallest of them snow-peaked. There is a trail that leads around the edge of the mountains and into the heart of the country. There are several other trails that lead up into the mountains and the small village nestled among them.

Sub-boards: Charter Inn, Haukea Town

This rich, brimming forest is thick with healthy fauna and flora. The forest was named for its presumed guardian deity, Macha of the North Wood. This forest offered sanctuary to beings of magic, escaping from King Edgar's wrath in the years of his reign. This forest is full of light and holds a mystical feel throughout its paths. People speak of a small village raised by the indigenous people of Torchay in years long gone somewhere among the trees.

Built around the ruins of King Edgar's castle lies the bright town of New Folstar. It is mainly populated by non-magical beings, though plenty of the magically persuaded live here as well. This moderately sized town lies on the Rios River, on opposite side of the bridge to Elodia. It functions by relying heavily on the land's resources.

Rios River is an enormous river that slashes through the center of Torchay and divides Torchay in two halves: one half consists mainly of agriculture, with towns and suburbs mixed in with it's rural environment, and the other half consists of the big cities, little towns, and quiet suburbs.

Elodia is located on the river with a huge monumental bridge crossing over the river and leading to the largest city in all of Torchay. Elodia is where most people residing in Torchay find work. Tall buildings make up the down town area, which takes up most of Elodia. Most of the homes in Elodia are in the form of apartment buildings, seeing as how they house more with less space.

Just west of Elodia sits a small rustic city full of ancient, refinished houses. Cardinia is one of the oldest cities in Torchay, many of the original buildings still standing from when the town was built. This old city has a mysterious feel to it, and the townspeople all play into the feeling. The streets are full of fortune telling booths and street performers. Cardinia is also the home to a graveyard and park.

This forest is smaller than the Macha Forest, but is much more difficult to traverse. The forest was named for what once was its guardian deity, Morrigan of the South Wood. It is said she fled when the forest's life started to die. The trees in this forest are dark and grey, many of them withered and dying. There is little grass; the moist ground is covered with leafy debris. Fog tends to drift along the ground, sometimes taking the shapes of clawed hands or demonic features. Whatever lurks in here is not friendly.

On the border of Morrigan Forest, you'll come upon an old broken down city that was abandoned by the government years ago and is seen as a lost cause in a political view. People that are loyal to their home stay, but it's not abnormal to hear gun shots and screams. All buildings and houses are dilapidated, and only few businesses are still opened with criminal owners and sketchy patrons. Watch your wallet, and your back.

The islands on the eastern shore of the Torchay mainland are collectively called Koritsi. Though smaller than Iaqui's main island, it is home to many more people than Iaqui itself. It is a very tropical, hot island that more of the natives of Torchay have called home. Cars and motorized vehicles have no way of getting to the smaller islands, so all residents either walk or bike ride, which makes for cleaner air and healthier lifestyles. However, a ferry dock was built to allow cars to travel to and from the largest island.

Off the west coast, there is the island cluster of Iaqui. Iaqui, being farther from the warmer north end of Torchay, experiences a more season-filled cycle, different from the warmer Koritsi Islands. It is a very ideal vacation spot throughout the spring and summer seasons; its white-sand beaches, warm waters, and tourist atmosphere bring in eager visitors. Plenty of hotels and plazas are situated on the island. The people who live here are few, and most make their income from the tourists.

The second largest city in Torchay next to Elodia. Aviere is right on the southern coast of Torchay and boasts the largest fishing industry of the country. There are tons of local fisheries among the docks. Further on is the residential area, which spreads out into the waters surrounding Torchay; there are floating houses at a premium for the wealthier citizens.

Sub-board: The Lighthouse

The most Southern part of Torchay lies the Harbor. It catches most of the warmth and sun that is lavished on Iaqui. The Harbour is full of boats sitting at the docks, some personal while others come in from around the globe bringing in shipments of goods. People arrive from around the world at the Harbour. While it is a large place of global commerce, it is also a very nice place to sight-see when it comes to it's waters and photogenic views.
